Hotel Sonnenberg - Grindelwald

The views from the room and balcony were very nice, especially with the Eiger in sight. I loved the cozy décor and breakfast that included personalized options like gluten-free bread.

Getting to the hotel was a workout, particularly with luggage. The steep hillside access isn't the best for those with mobility issues. The lack of air conditioning made the room stuffy at times, and I noticed some maintenance issues with carpets that could use a good update. The dinner options were quite limited, which left me wanting more variety after busy days. Occasionally, I also ran into issues with Wi-Fi connectivity that were frustrating.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to the train station Grindelwald, the Wetterhorn which appears almost within touching distance and the centre. The superior room was modern and compact.

Good food in the restaurant, fresh made breakfast with various cheeses, a fantastic view and Grindelwald cheese. The rooms with balcony, the comfortable beds and great views. Ideal central location, near the rail station, shops, and restaurants, beautiful mountains and the valley and mountains. Plus, close to Bussalp.

The view of the Eiger was just wow! The staff was super friendly, always ready to help. Enjoyed morning coffee in the picnic area, such a nice touch! Just a heads up, the walk up is a bit steep, especially with luggage.

I stayed in a Standard Single Room for 4 nights, and it was super comfortable! Loved the in-room coffee making facility and the amazing views of the Eiger from my window. The ambiance felt cozy, and the decor was charming. The only downside was that the room was a bit narrow, but it didn't take away from my experience. Honestly, the fine scenery.

A cozy stay with amazing views of the mountains. The staff's warmth and attentiveness created a cute atmosphere throughout the stay. Brekkie featured freshly caught fish, a good surprise that enhanced the mornings. The walk from the parking lot is steeper than anticipated, which could be an obstacle for some, and the absence of air conditioning made warmer days less comfortable. Wi-Fi was also somewhat spotty at times, disrupting connectivity.

Excellent place with its free Wi-Fi, ski storage, and a cozy picnic area. The staff even helped me with an insect bite during my first stay, and they've been so attentive. I can't wait to come back for a city break!
